The Prix Pictet is an award created in 2009 that pretends to raise environmental sustainability awareness through art, in particular, through photography.Environmental awareness is in my opinion, one of the most important ways of solving the problem of climate change.Much have been said about political disagreement between nations that slow down the process of finding a solution to the problem. Environmental awareness should be considered as one of the means to increase the pressure for governments, so that they will go summits with the will of reaching an agreement. In my opinion, there is still today little accountability in this matter. Political change in arab countries during the last year proof that people pressure can force governments to completely change their policies or even collapse.
